John Martinez, Senior Managing Member
Mr. Martinez devises creative ways to close complex transactions. He is involved in all facets of the company’s operations, from overseeing acquisition of new transactions to investor relations and asset management. He has more than 20 years of experience in every aspect of real estate, C&I financing and operations, including residential, hospitality, commercial, and mixed-use sectors and international trade. Mr. Martinez has worked at large and mid-size banks as a Senior Vice President in Corporate Banking. He has a reputation for acquisition and growth of new business opportunities.
Mr. Martinez has a Bachelor of Science degrees in Finance and Economics from George Mason University and a Master of Business Administration from the Darden School of Business at the University of Virginia.
Peter Nicholson, Credit Manager
Mr. Nicholson is the Director of Credit and has over 15 years of experience in the real estate industry specializing in structured finance, private equity, investment banking and development.
Previously, he was the Chief Underwriter for Sabal Financial Group focused on middle market bridge loans and term loans on all types of CRE asset types. Prior to Sabal, he held similar roles at GE Capital and UBS Investment Bank.
Mr. Nicholson received his MBA from New York University Stern School of Business and his Bachelor’s Degree from Rutgers University in New Jersey.
Alex Mann, Director of New Business Development
Mr. Mann began his career at a Fortune 500 real estate finance company and was the number one loan officer in the company before being promoted to management. During the recession, Mr. Mann started a Property Tax Appeal company that successfully completed appeals o billions of dollars in real estate and a debt consolidation.
The company also assisted thousands of people is settling their credit card debt. In 2010, he started a brokerage firm to assist real estate developers and investors in securing private capital for bridge, construction and permanent debt on every type of commercial and residential investment property.
Mr. Mann brings 15 years of finance and marketing experience and has been directly involved in hundreds of millions of dollars in transactions.
Mr. Mann has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Regency from West Virginia University.
Richard Costa, Business Development Northeast Region
Mr. Costa is principally responsible for new transaction origination, credit analysis and monitoring loans for open funded vehicles and active managed accounts as well as tracking of existing investments in closed funds. Through his skill set in structured commercial mortgage originations, proprietary deal flow network, he has structured and closed in excess of 79 complex capitalization facilities for broad range of commercial property types including: multifamily, retail, office, hospitality, industrial, healthcare and
Raymond Smith, Business Development West Coast Region
Mr. Smith has extensive Commercial Lending and Business Development experience. He has more than 15 years in the banking and mortgage industry. His experience focuses on acquisition and development, CMBS, bridge financing, hard money, equity raising and mezzanine type loans. In addition, he has vast experience in government financing and healthcare.
Mr. Smith has a Bachelor of Science in Finance and Marketing from Boise State University.
Luis Sanabria, Business Development Latin America
Mr. Sanabria worked on acquisition and bridge loan originations across various sectors of real estate including multifamily, hospitality, office, retail, gas stations and outdoor advertising throughout Latin America. In addition, he was an Associate at a major energy company where he focused on project development and M&A transactions. Prior to that, he was an investment banking analyst at HSBC in Sao Paolo, Brazil. He is fluent in Spanish and Portuguese.
He received his Bachelor’s Degree from National University of Colombia.
Breno Silva, CFP, Investor Relations
Mr. Silva is responsible for acquiring and managing investor funds. He has over 25 years of wealth management experience at major international banks in Latin America. He has managed well over $500 million in assets.
Mr. Silva received a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Sao Paolo and a law degree from Georgetown University in Washington, DC. He is fluent in Spanish, French and Portuguese.
